Jolene got spayed this week, so she’s in recovery mode. As sad as the whole thing has been, it definitely adds an extra element of cute helplessness to her look.

We were supposed to get up to the cottage to open it up this weekend, but I had underestimated how long the recovery period would be for a canine hysterectomy, so we stayed home to take care of the pup instead. Maybe next weekend she can learn the wonders of boats and geodesic domes.

Also, we bought these at Fiesta Farms, mostly just to show you the label.

I would have just taken a picture in the store, but I happen to like vanilla wafers so I brought them home with us. To eat.
